The OCAP development software available from UniSoft includes
creation of DSM-CC object carousels, OCAP transport stream encoding
and generation of required service information (SI) enabling
standalone receivers to tune to the available TV services.
For those OCAP applications which require access to
restricted resources, as defined in the CableLabs' OpenCable Security
Specification, are authenticated using

TSDeveloper
|
Provides a multi-user environment for developing and testing iTV
applications. It creates and plays out an MPEG-2 transport stream containing
four in-band services. Each service may have an OCAP, ETV or MHP application
signaled to it.
TSDeveloper is packaged on a desktop PC so is particularly suitable for
application authoring and development environments. Output is QAM
modulated RF so TSDeveloper can be connected directly to a number of
set-top-boxes without the need of a modulator.

TSBroadcaster

Is a higher-end development environment for OCAP, ETV and MHP
applications which is also suitable for live deployment.
TSBroadcaster provides complete control over creation of entire
transport streams, application signaling, including SI, AITs, XAITs
and multiple object carousels. Full out-of-band transmission of XAITs,
CVTs and object carousels, including DSG delivery, is provided through
TSOOBPlayer.

Application Validator for OCAP, ETV, ACAP, MHP and JSR-242 (OnRamp).
XAV provides a detailed analysis of iTV applications
detecting interoperability, efficiency, security and validity problems.
A detailed report is provided which assists correction of the identified
issues. XAV is particularly suitable as an OCAP application conformance
testing tool.

SoftOC

Generates MPEG transport streams containing DSM-CC
object carousels. SoftOC provides control and creation of all aspects of the
Transport Stream including SI, object carousels
and MHP or OCAP signaling. Typically used for testing receivers.
SoftOC is programmed using XML input.

TSPlayer

An MPEG play-out system based on either a Sun Microsystems SunFire
server or HP DL 360, integrated with an ASI card,
the TSMux software multiplexer and TSPlayer server software.
TSPlayer provides a convenient host for SoftOC. The ASI card is provided by
VideoPropulsion, Inc.Gigabit Ethernet output is also available.

OCAP headend application management system. Administers development
and delivery of OCAP apps, and essential for applications which
use the return channel to communicate to various transaction gateways,
including messaging (SMS, MMS, e-mail), secure payment and
database access.
