S&T's TSBroadcaster Enterprise Manager provides the means to control and monitor the operation of a number of TSBroadcaster ETV systems.

Enterprise Manager offers a UI and Java API for control and monitoring, and communicates with TSBroadcaster units through the TSBroadcaster API.

A key feature of Enterprise Manager is the capability to define a group of services in one or more TSBroadcaster tasks so that they can be addressed as a single unit when controlling the playout of applications. This process occurs by defining individual Enterprise Services that are required; and then to defining the Service Groups that contain the Enterprise Services.

The ETV applications handled by Enterprise Manager are defined by CoDF files, which define the application signalling, content and lifecycle.

Features and Capabilities
  1. TSBroadcaster Management - allows the user to nominate a number of TSBroadcasters for management. These systems may be standalone or be deployed in peer groups for resilient operation.

  2. Service Group Definition - the user can identify groups of services across one or more TSBroadcaster tasks that are to be managed collectively.

  3. Application Definition - allows creation and edit of ETV applications, and updates applications either manually or automatically by polling data sources for updated data files.

  4. Application Playout - deploys applications to TSBroadcasters and arranges them to be played out to specified Service Groups.

  5. Application Management - application update and stream event delivery.

  6. Monitoring - Enterprise Manager monitors which TSBroadcasters are available for use and which tasks are being performed. A status of deployed and currently playing applications is shown.
