The diagram to the right shows how a combination of the TSBroadcaster and TSPlayer products can be combined in a live broadcast environment.

One TSPlayer is required to support each unique output to the Transport Stream Multiplex. In addition, TSPlayer can be a single system or a resilient pair, configured as partners. In this instance each TSPlayer monitors the operation of its partner and takes over play-out if a problem occurs.

TSBroadcaster provides automatic and scheduled play-out of MHP and OCAP content. It includes features to create multiple transport streams, application definition and scheduling, injection of stream events and a variety of other features.

In addition TSBroadcaster can collect real-time updates to application data from a number of sources including file, database, HTTP or via ftp and rapidly re-encode for transmission.

Support for authenticated applications is provided by the MHP/OCAP Security File Generator (SFG). SFG can be called upon by TSBroadcaster to generate the appropriate hash, certificate and signature files prior to broadcast.
